What does the HARVEST HUSTLE do for our school??
Not only is it a FUN event, creating School Spirit at the start of the school year, it is ALSO the ONLY MAJOR FUNDRAISER of the year!  We need YOUR SUPPORT to make it SUCCESSFUL!!
How does your DONATION HELP??
Last year, we purchased a class set of Chromebooks, 2 new drinking fountains, through our Teacher Grant Fund- an updated weight room and STEAM lab!  Because we were successful, we also purchased new outdoor playground balls and 3 foosball tables for indoor recess!  This yearwe HOPE to ENABLE EVERY TEACHER to purchase something for their CLASSROOMS!  What does your donation support??
Just a few examples of what teachers need...
SCIENCE and STEAM- supplies to build solar powered cars  MATH- individual X-Y coordinate grid whiteboards for the whole class  LA/LIT- Flexible seating (Ask your student what this is and WHY they LOVE IT) and the Latest reading materials (Magnus Chase ship of the dead, anyone??)  We can't do it without your SUPPORT!!  Donations DUE FRIDAY!  It's not too late to make a difference!
Lost your donation envelope?  Don't worry!  Return $$ with student's name and homeroom teacher to the PTC Volunteer before school or the Main office.
Thank you for your consideration and generous support of our STUDENTS, TEACHERS and SCHOOL!!

Site Council
The Oregon Education Act for the 21st Century (HB2991) states that:
There shall be established at each school a 21st Century Schools Council.  The 21st Century Schools Council, however, shall not interfere with the duties, responsibilities, and rights of duly elected school district boards.

Purpose
The primary purpose of the 21st Century Schools Site Council is to work in collaboration with the school district, school staff, and community toward the improvement of student performance at the school site.

Objectives for Site Council:
  • To place the overall interests of the students first.
  • To help all stakeholders share responsibility for student success.
  • To enhance parent and community involvement.
  • To promote positive attitudes toward public education.
Responsibilities:
To the extent practical and within the policies, vision and goals of the school district, school site councils include:
  • The development of plans to improve the professional growth of the staff.
  • The dispensing of professional growth funds from each building's allocation.
  • The improvement of the school's instructional program.
  • The implementation of programs at the school as provided for in Oregon Revised Statutes and Oregon Administrative Rules.
  • The development and coordination of plans for the implementation of programs under the Oregon Educational Act for the 21st Century.
